Question: My dog just..threw up..peed..pooped
on my rug.

How can I clean the stain and remove the smell?

Pro-Care says... OK, so, not to be gross but gently scoop up and discard any solids with a spoon or a spatula. Do NOT rub or scrub. If it is a urine-only accident, blot over and over with clean paper towels until no moisture shows up on the paper. Use an enzyme treatment from the pet store (like "Nature's Miracle") and follow directions on the bottle. Do NOT use general home cleaners.

Keep in mind that the accident can be more challenging than the usual if your pet is on medications that may stain, if the accident happens on sisal or viscose, or if the accident sits overnight. If enzymes and blotting don't work, take some pictures and contact a professional cleaner. Be ready to provide them with all the information you have, to give them enough info to diagnose and potentially remove the spot.

And make sure your pup or kitty is ok ... sometimes an accident can signal other health issues.s ok ... sometimes an accident can signal other health issues.
