πβ¨ Our 21st Century Site Coordinators recently participated in an inspiring professional development training facilitated by published author and Children's Literacy Foundation storyteller Terry Farish, Author!
Terry shared engaging strategies for bringing stories to life, supporting English Language Learners, and creating meaningful family engagement experiences that foster a love of reading. Site Coordinators had the opportunity to experience interactive storytelling techniques firsthand and explore creative ways to engage students through literacy.
As a special surprise, Terry concluded the session by signing copies of her book Josephβs Big Ride so that each 21st Century program can share the story with students throughout the year. ππ
We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with CLiF and for Terry taking the time to share her expertise, creativity, and passion for storytelling. Thank you for helping us strengthen literacy experiences for our students and families across all of our programs! π

πβοΈ Passport Club Family Engagement Night was a huge success! βοΈπ
Our students were so excited to share their work and show their families all of the countries they βtraveledβ to and learned about throughout the year! It was incredible to see their pride as they showcased projects, artwork, and memories from their journey around the world.
This year, our Passport Club explored countries including France, Brazil, Egypt and much more, learning about each countryβs culture, traditions, geography, food, and history along the way.
Families were amazed by how many countries our students visited and by the amount of learning, creativity, and hard work that went into every project. In addition to exploring student displays, families enjoyed making bracelets inspired by the colors of different national flags, completing 21st Century-themed coloring puzzles, and coloring pages featuring countries from around the world.
A big thank you to our students, staff, and families for making this event so special. We loved celebrating a year of curiosity, learning, and global exploration together! πβ€οΈ

πΊπΈ This week, as we prepared for Memorial Day, our Kindergarten and 1st grade students made liberty crowns and star wands! βπ
After finishing their creations, students proudly said the Pledge of Allegiance and waved their star wands with excitement. We are thankful for those who have served our country and remember the sacrifices made by so many. β€οΈπ
It was a fun and meaningful way for students to learn, create, and reflect together!

Our 4th and 5th grade students had been working hard preparing for the track meet that was originally scheduled for last week. Unfortunately, the rainy weather forced the event to be cancelled β but we didnβt let all of that hard work and excitement go to waste! βπββοΈπββοΈ
One of our 21st Century programs stepped in and hosted our very own track meet for ALL grade levels! Students got their bodies moving through sprint races, long jump, βjavelinβ tosses using pool noodles, relay activities, and so many other fun challenges throughout the day. The energy, teamwork, and sportsmanship were amazing to see!
We are so proud of our students for staying active, trying new things, and embracing healthy lifestyles while having fun togethe
