Heavy rain can make things challenging for the hunter. A well trained dog won't have a problem though.

Two day track, two long rides up the mountain in back of a UTV with Ariel. Success 👍 deer was liver hit, did not follow the script & die after a 8 hour wait. The following day and hundreds of yards later the buck was recovered. It would have been easy to move on to the next track after jumping the deer alive on day 1. Ariel told the story of a dead deer, so I listened to her. She was fired up on day 2 and finished the job. The buck bedded two more times, traveled a few hundred yards beyond the last bed and expired.

Coyotes made quick work of this buck. Very unfortunate for this Youth hunter. The situation occurred twice over the weekend. 👎
