Tell your kids about a time when you wanted to give up but asked God to help you instead. Ask your kids, “When was a time you had to ask God for help?” Remind them that God knows everything that happens and wants to help us.

Talk with your child about a time God cared for you when you were hurt or sad. Ask your kids, “When was a time you felt hurt or sad? How can God help you the next time you are hurt or sad?”

This week, students learned the Main Idea, “I Can Look Back.” In Genesis 42–50, Joseph was able to help his family have the food they needed when they came to Egypt. When Joseph saw his family again and helped them, he could look back and see how God had a plan for his life. We can look back at how God has worked in our lives and see that God has a plan for us too. Tell your preschoolers about a time where you can look back and see how God was at work.
