I'm jumping ahead to today, because I just got back from one of the best rides of my life. I did this 15 years ago on a GSX1300R Hayabusa. (Bad idea) but I did it anyway.
This is the Moki Dugway. You can't see it from the bottom (first pick) but highway 261 climbs that cliff. The pics are in order top to bottom, some of the road, some from the road looking down.
The pics don't do it justice, but the road is steep, gravel or the occasional broken pavement, and has washouts in places that narrow the road to one car width. It's what I call a "Don't f**k up road". If you do, you drop 1200' into "the valley of the gods".
I took Cheryl to see it. she said "I'm not going up that!" So I brought her back to the RV and went back myself to ride up, and then back down. :-)

It has been a few days(?), and the wandering continues.
We went further southwest in Utah to visit Bryce Canyon, Red Rocks Canyon, Zion NP, Then into Arizona to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Then down south east into Vermillion Cliffs, Marble canyon, Lee's Ferry, the Painted Desert, Monument valley, and the Valley of the Gods, back into south eastern Utah. (and several other places along the way)
Every place has been absolutely beautiful, and they all remind you how small you are. They've been here for 70 million years. we won't. Don't sweat the little things!
I am going to try to post a few pics from most of the places. We've had no signal or internet on and off for days, so we will see.....
Tomorrow we will ride Sputnik around Monument valley, the Moki Dugway, Muley point, and hopefully Goose necks state park which overlooks the San Juan river and Monument valley.
A couple pics from Bryce canyon attached:
