Paul is in Chicago this week representing TREE Fund at the Utility Vegetation Managers Summit organized by Utility Arborist Association and hosted by ComEd. This is an invitation-only summit exclusively to those that work for electric utilities and develop and manage the scope of their company’s vegetation management program.

TREE Fund is honored to have been invited and to be able to participate in the conversation and brainstorming.

We are very sad to share the news of the passing of TREE Fund's Chairman Emeritus, Allan West. At the age of 92, Al passed away peacefully in his home on June 3rd, 2026.

Al was a huge part of Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund's genesis as a coming together between the ISA Research Trust and National Arborist Foundation beginning back in the 1990s. He served on the TREE Fund board from 2001-2008. He was TREE Fund's only Chairman Emeritus and one of only four people to be recognized as a trustee emeritus.
