Watching you move through life has been one of the greatest gifts I could ever ask for. You are the most incredible dad… patient, present, supportive, and endlessly proud of your kids. No matter how busy life gets, your family has always been your most important stage.

I’ve watched you pour your heart into every song, every band, and every person lucky enough to be inspired by you. You don’t just play music, you build confidence, inspire passion, and remind people what it feels like to believe in themselves.

So many people know you as the musician, the mentor, the performer. But I get the privilege of knowing the man behind all of it. The one who makes everyone laugh, carries everyone else’s burdens without hesitation, and somehow still finds a way to make the people he loves feel safe and important.

50 looks amazing on you.
I’m so proud of the life you’ve built, the people you’ve impacted, and the husband and father you are every single day.

20 years ago we celebrated Cody’s 30th birthday at Saengerhall and booked The Gourds cause they are a fave of his.
Last night was full circle for their reunion at the Paramount in Austin…5 days before his 50th!
Congrats to the Gourds for the reunion and happy (early) birthday to Cody.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the ladies who help us keep things moving in forward motion. We couldn’t make any of this happen without their support (the first time and the second time). 🙌 Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there trying!

Ok it’s time to start this. ⏰
To us, there are probably 7 songs we feel like we have to play so we don’t disappoint the majority. That leaves room for plenty to choose from. I can’t guarantee it will make the cut, but let’s build a set list. Let’s sing that together like frozen…..”do you wanna build a set list”. Don’t forget deep cuts and covers. We have some rehearsal time coming up soon. That’s been my favorite part lately…hanging with my pals at show rehearsals.
