Wait… you thought we only staged homes?
As the owner and interior designer behind Poppy Home Staging & Design, projects like this Alta Heights guest cottage are one of my favorite parts of what we do.
This space started as a rental auxiliary unit with plenty of potential, but our clients dreamed of something more. They wanted a warm, elevated retreat where family and friends could relax, reconnect, and maybe even extend their stay a few extra days.
So we transformed it into a tranquil, layered, and luxurious guest cottage that feels like a natural extension of the beautifully designed main home and gardens.
And if I’m being honest, I’m getting a little sad that we’re almost finished.
There is something so rewarding about watching a vision come together piece by piece, seeing mood boards become reality, and creating spaces that make people feel something the moment they walk through the door.
This reel is just a sneak peek of what’s almost complete, and I can’t wait to share the final reveal.

Three years of Poppy Home Staging & Design.
Three years of growth, challenges, creativity, learning, and so much gratitude.
When we started this business, we completed just 6 stages in our first year. Last year we completed 39 projects. And now, in year three, we’ve more than doubled our business again.
In just three years, we’ve:
• Moved into our own warehouse
• Hired staff
• Built an inventory collection worth hundreds of thousands of dollars
• Grown our capacity to stage 15+ homes at a time
• Added interior design services to our portfolio
• Refined our branding, website, and overall vision
• Been featured on a podcast
• Completed our first interior design project
• Built relationships that have turned into friendships
What we’re most proud of isn’t just the numbers. It’s the trust our clients and Realtor partners place in us to help tell the story of their homes.
As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue creating interior design-focused staging that honors every home and its story while helping buyers envision their next chapter. We’re continuing to evolve our style, strengthen relationships, improve systems and processes, and maintain the high-touch service and thoughtfully cared-for product that built this business in the first place.
Oh, and hopefully adding our very own moving truck to the mix.

This integrated staging project was the perfect example of how thoughtful design and strategic styling can elevate a listing without starting from scratch.
By combining the homeowner’s existing Serena & Lily-inspired furnishings with carefully selected pieces from our staging inventory, we were able to create a layered, elevated look that highlighted the selling features of this impeccable 2-bedroom downtown Napa home.
The home already had so much charm and personality, which gave us the opportunity to play with color, texture, soft goods, and styling details that created warmth, emotion, and connection throughout the space. We brought in the missing pieces to complete the story and create the kind of emotional impact that drives buyer interest and urgency.
The result? An accepted offer in just 8 days.
