Tucked just minutes from the beach, Wheels of Yesteryear is a hidden gem filled with classic cars, vintage details, and serious nostalgia—from muscle cars to timeless cruisers that still turn heads decades later.

It’s the kind of spot you can wander through at your own pace, take it all in, and maybe even find a favorite (we had a few).

Perfect for a laid-back afternoon before heading back to the coast to unwind.

We checked out The Sneaky Beagle and it’s officially a win—great food, relaxed vibe, and super dog friendly (clearly).

If you’re bringing your pup to the area, this is a must-stop. Bonus points for the pup treats that make their whole day 🐾

Turbo gives it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (and would absolutely go back for round two).

🌸 Azalea season at Brookgreen is something special 🌸

Spring in the Lowcountry means one thing… azaleas in full bloom—and there’s no better place to see them than Brookgreen Gardens.

Each year, the gardens come alive with vibrant color, typically peaking in March and April, with a mix of native South Carolina azaleas and classic Southern varieties.

Set among sculptures, fountains, and moss-draped oaks, it’s one of those places that just feels like spring. Every turn is a postcard—soft whites, bold pinks, and even a few locals (🐦) making an appearance.

If you’re visiting the Grand Strand, this is a must-see… and the best part? It’s just a short drive from our place.

Start your morning surrounded by blooms, spend the afternoon at the beach, and come back to a fresh, newly updated space to unwind.

If you’ve been following our journey, you know this one hit close to home. A water leak from an upstairs unit left our Myrtle Beach condo with flooded floors, damaged ceilings, and a kitchen that broke our hearts to look at.
We could have just patched it up and moved on. But that’s not who we are.

Restoration update 🔨

Progress continues after the water damage, and we’re starting to see things come back together.

✔️ New bathroom vanity installed
✔️ New lower kitchen cabinets installed
✔️ Added a Lazy Susan corner cabinet for better storage and functionality

Next up: new countertops, flooring, Sheetrock repairs, fresh paint, and a few other surprises we’re excited to bring into the space.

One of the advantages of managing renovations like this is being able to make thoughtful improvements during the rebuild — not just replacing what was there, but making the space more durable and functional for future guests.

Every step gets us closer to having the condo guest-ready again. Stay tuned for the transformation.

Longer days, warmer sunshine, and beach walks are back on the schedule. Myrtle Beach is waking up from winter, and we’re excited for another season of welcoming guests to the coast.
