Clay York is the author of South Carolina's County Courthouses: An Illustrated History, published by Porter Print Group in 2025 scsl.ent.sirsi.net. This 396‑page illustrated work explores the architectural history, stories, and significance of South Carolina’s county courthouses, from Abbeville to York. It includes over 700 images, maps, and photographs, and covers topics such as the formation of counties, notable citizens, and the evolution of these civic buildings. The book is part of the South Carolina State Library’s collection and is categorized under historic buildings, architecture, and local history. Clay will be at Chapin Library MB on Thursday, July 16th, for a presentation and book signing. First Floor Meeting Room.
