Because the story didn’t have the same seemless flow as the first, and I found myself getting drawn out of their world with disjointed flashbacks, key points that happened too early or too late in the story, and some scenes that just seemed rushed in writing.

However, I still love the characters and premise and romance, which is open door and very detailed in case you were wondering.

Because I am a HUGE fan of the Twilight, Vampire Academy and Mercy Thompson series and the Underworld movies and many other similar books and films, and I’ve been looking for something along those lines for YEARS.

After trudging through a classic for weeks, this was exactly what I needed. Light and intriguing with some action and A LOT of romance lol. Loved the premise and the characters, and I’m thinking of going to the bookstore now to get the next in the series.

LOVED it so much I finished it in a day and a half 🥰
