It’s been so many years, tears, heartbreak, letdowns, false trails, false hopes, bad tips, leads that go nowhere, endless hearings and motions. But always following each and every one, the ones that seemed improbable and the ones that seemed credible. Life for our family has not been easy, prayer on a constant basis by family friends and the community are the guiding forces from day to day. Over these dozen years, we have learned more about the judicial processes than anyone should ever be exposed to. Laws are prosecuted while others though blatant and recorded in court records are never prosecuted. Purger yourself on the stand and nothing is said or done even when the evidence shows the many lies and changes in testimony.
So here I sit just before Easter arrives again, Birthdays have come and gone, Christmas and every other holiday has come and gone many times over and yet we as a family have not been able to celebrate any of them while Heather remains unaccounted for. Sure the case is ongoing and admittedly it is slow going most of the time. Family will never give up hope and the guilty will eventually pay the rest of the price for the irrational and selfish choices they chose to commit. Kidnapping is ongoing everyday until the case is solved but the ones found guilty will only pay once for a crime that has yet to end, the laws should reflect the nightmare that kidnapping without a conclusion causes and should allow for life sentences till they come clean. The other conspirators should have been charged or should be charged since there is no statute of limitations in South Carolina on crimes of this nature. I keep asking why the two that are serving time are allowed to be housed in white collar crime units housing when it’s a violent crime not white color crime they are incarcerated for but can get no answer to these question. I would ask and hope that these questions would cause outrage in the community and demand answers and justice. Thank you for your support. I know God will do things in his way and in his time, for us as hurting parents and siblings it’s like swimming upstream in rapid flowing waters. It requires faith and a solid foundation in His grace and trust. These are not the easiest things to do when you feel like your whole world has been destroyed but you try none the less, Lord God our Father, I find myself once again calling/crying out to you for peace in my life, for the grace that is hard to grasp at times and for the strength that only by your hand can I get thru each day knowing that you are a God of peace and love who offers salvation to any who will submit and ask for it. Whatever it is that I’m not doing in your name and in the way you want, show me, tell me so that my family might find the answers we long for every day. It’s a blink of an eye in the time frame of your plan, I admit that I do know that, it’s just been so very long for all of us and I could use some help to maintain the course that we are traveling. For it’s in Your Holy Name Father that I find myself asking for your intervention in the most difficult times of our lives.
Amen

𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧 𝙧𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙨:
~ Pray for that all of us can deepen our trust in God in preparation for difficult moments. Pray that we develop that trust before our difficult moments overtake us, so we can lean on Him and He can hold us up.
~ Pray for all of the families living in the unknown, or living without resolution of their loss.
~ We’re still praying for any type of new information to come forward, in any way, or from any place, regarding where Heather is. If you know anything, even the smallest detail, contact us, or any police department, or CUE Center for Missing Persons.
~ Pray for the PCR appeals as one of the preliminary hearings is being scheduled soon. Pray for wisdom and discernment for all of those participating in the court.
Verse of the day -
Psalm 18:2
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.”
As always, if you aren’t able to be there in person, pray with us wherever you are during these two hours.
Remember, the garden at Peachtree Landing is a community garden. If you wish to plant or place something there, feel free. It does flood, so plants typically have to be refreshed every year. If you plant seeds, use the tools in the mailbox to mark them, so we don't pull them when we pull weeds. The painted rocks are back in the garden now, with a good layer of sealer added.
God is our rock and fortress, always ready to protect and guide us through life's challenges. Reflecting on His unwavering presence, how can you deepen your trust in God during difficult moments?
”The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge.” — Psalm 18:2 NIV
