What do you do when it’s 3:30 am and you can’t fall back asleep? Get up and hike a mountain in the dark to watch the sunrise, of course.

After over a decade in academia, Friday marked my final day as a full time professor. Monday I join the Zimmer Biomet clinical strategy team as a Medical Senior Writer. I'm excited to be working on some cutting edge products in the field of surgical robotics, mixed reality, and artificial intelligence.

I've worked with some amazing colleagues and students in these past 10 years. And while I'm down scaling my own work in the sport supplement/training field, I'm grateful to continue to be involved through my collaborators.

Fellow fitness enthusiasts/pros, I need some help. My 94 year old grandmother walks a mile every day in addition to group exercise classes. But now those classes are cancelled due to Covid. I’d like to make a series of in-home workouts she can do with a few dumbbells and everyday household implements: Any ideas you have for exercises would be greatly appreciated! 💪

Thank you CrossFit Myrtle Beach and Tadd Rubin for inviting me to discuss nutritional strategies for improving body composition as part of the 2020 . It was great to meet such an enthusiastic group - I look forward to seeing everyone’s progress over the next few months! 💪💪
