This little chihuahua is an example of my process
She is a rescue with no socialization and severe separation anxiety.
I made 2 trips to their home first to meet her
Mia growled and snapped at me
Then Nancy Edgerle came to my house with her to change the dominance environment to mine
No biting and snapping was better.
This is her for daycare. She paced and talked the entire time but not snapping or growling.
Because she is so anxious I want to build her trust with a couple more daycare sessions before she stays next month for 10days

Every client I have goes through a 2 step process before staying here at Pooch Place.
First is a meet and greet with the owner and dog.
This allows us to establish a mutually relationship on what is expected and allowing me to access the dog and the owner to access the environment.
Next comes a scheduled 4hr daycare experience with their dog. It determines the level of separation anxiety without the owner. More importantly it creates a pattern with the dog that twice they have been picked up after and NOT abandoned.
I believe its critical for the dogs and how they feel
Now they run to the front door because its familiar and fun to stay here.
These are the dogs who recently have been through it and are now clients.

Miss Maisie is vacationing here while mom and dad travel. She loves to lounge.

Margie is 17 yrs old here, for a few days and I was told she has severe separation anxiety.
She doesn't like to be alone but she has adjusted very well. 😇

This must be Cavapoo month! Maple goes home after 17days and CeCe checked in for the weekend.
Same breeds one year apart. Both so sweet!
