Back in February, we gathered for the Thrive at the Edge Retreat, a sacred space created for women leaders ready to do the deep work hosted by Shiggs B International.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside leaders stepping into new roles, navigating transitions, and redefining what leadership means to them. One thing is clear—real growth doesn’t happen alone. It happens in reflection, conversation, and community.

That’s exactly why I created the Edgework Collective.

I’ve walked into rooms where I could feel the question before it was spoken:
How did she get here?
Early in my career, I stepped into leadership roles I didn’t have “perfect” experience for—becoming one of the youngest cabinet members in one space and the first Black senior leader in another.
And still… I never confused this truth:
A learning edge is not a legitimacy gap.
I’ve learned that many leaders—especially women and leaders of color—stand at this same edge:
• stepping into bigger roles
• navigating transitions
• redefining their leadership
• feeling called to something more
I call this work Edgework.
The space between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.
✨ That’s why I created the Edgework Collective (launching April 1).
I’m opening a small founding cohort of women now.
