Real lemon or fake sour taste? Most people cannot tell the difference until they read the label.

Most hummus brands use citric acid instead of real lemon juice. Cheaper. Longer shelf life. No actual lemon involved.

We use real lemon juice. Every jar. It helps your body absorb the iron from the chickpeas and just tastes like real food.

One ingredient swap tells you everything. 🍋

Find us Saturday 20th at the Muskegon Farmers Market 8AM-2PM. Sundried tomato basil will be on the menu!

Real lemon or citric acid, what would you pick?

We made shawarma the way it is supposed to be made.

Roasted and shredded chicken, wrapped up with our Garlic Aioli, hamburger pickles, homemade pickled onions and crispy fries right inside. Topped with a few more dollops of aioli then seared on the griddle until the outside gets crispy and golden.

Cut it up and serve it family style. Everyone dives in.

This is what we do when we are not at the market. Real food, made the right way, no shortcuts.

Would you try this?

My grandmother made pita bread for the whole family like it was nothing.

As a kid I never thought about it. We just showed up and ate.

Now that I make it myself I understand. Getting that pocket to form is one of the hardest things I have ever done in a kitchen. The heat, the dough, the timing. Everything has to be perfect.

She did that for all of us like it was easy.

It was never easy. That was just love.

Did you ever try to make something your family cooked growing up and realize how hard it actually was? 👇

Most people have no idea what is actually in their hummus.

We did not either until we started making our own and read the back of every store bought container we could find.

Canola oil. Citric acid. Potassium sorbate. Natural flavors. Ingredients you cannot even picture in your head.

Ours has seven. Chickpeas, roasted garlic, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, sea salt and water. That is the whole list. Nothing hiding. Nothing to explain.

Come find us at the Muskegon Farmers Market this Saturday and flip the jar over. We actually want you to read it.

Which ingredient surprised you the most? 👇

Not all oils are created equal.

Some are cold pressed, clean and have been used for thousands of years. Others are chemically extracted, ultra processed and linked to in your body.

We only use olive oil in our and avocado oil in our garlic aioli. That is it. No seed oils. No shortcuts.

Which oils do you try to avoid? 👇
