Registration is now open for the 2026 Michigan 4-H and FFA Livestock Judging State Contest! The contest will take on Wednesday, July 1 at the Farm Bureau Pavilion at MSU.
While the dates no longer coincide with Michigan Livestock Expo, this contest does still count as an educational experience for the MLE Premiere Stockman Award!

2026 4-H Exploration Days is quickly approaching! This year we are excited to send 13 youth from Muskegon County!

We are still in need of a female chaperone for this year's trip!
The event takes place Wednesday, June 24th-Friday, June 26th.

As a chaperone you would attend the trip, assist with youth check ins and meetings, stay in the dorms to help enforce curfew, check in with youth at mealtimes, assist (not lead) an event activity each day, help chaperone youth activities like open gym time and the dance.

This is a great way to help youth experience college life in a safe and controlled environment. Spend time on campus, sleep in the dorms, eat in the dining hall, and get a chance to re-live the college experience while also helping inspire a new generation.

In order to be a chaperone, you must first be a screened 4-H volunteer. If you are interested in chaperoning or becoming a 4-H volunteer in general, please contact me at [email protected]

For more information about the event you can also look at the event website: https://www.canr.msu.edu/4_h_exploration_days/Volunteer-Information/
