Pound Buddies

Wow! What a week of wonderful help at Pound Buddies! 30 kids and team leaders from all over the country came together for the Calvin Church Serve 2026 Youth Mission Trip to help spruce up the shelter. They painted, weeded, sealed our fencing, and so much more! We are so grateful for the energy, the compassion and the commitment (especially in the heat) these groups showed to our shelter and dogs! Thank you! Thank you!

At just 1 year old and 38 pounds, she’s the perfect medium-sized sweetheart with the cutest little Dorito ears you’ve ever seen. 😍

Summer is as smart as she is loving. She already knows “sit” and follows the command every single time (especially if you have a treat)! She’s incredibly treat motivated, making her a great candidate for learning even more tricks.

Even better than knowing tricks, Summer is as sweet and affectionate as they get. She’s such a special girl. Bring her in a yard and she’ll gently curl her little body around your legs, as if she’s trying to get as close to you as physically possible. ❤️

Summer has so much love to give. Now she just needs someone to give it to.
