I caught my daughter doing something today that made me stop for a second.
She was sitting there reading one of her little book about praying while quietly singing along with And Can It Be that we had playing in the background.
It was such a simple and sweet moment and I realized something.
Our kids really are listening. They’re watching. They’re taking in so much more than we realize. All of the prayers, hopes, exhaustion and constant repeating that make you wonder if you’re going insane or if it’s sticking, it is. They hear, they are watching and listening.
The music we play in our homes. The way we talk. The way we respond. The way we pray. Even when it feels like they’re not paying attention, they are.
So if you’re in a season where motherhood feels exhausting, where you’re wondering if any of it is making a difference, keep going.
Keep praying with them. Keep filling your home with things that point them to Jesus. Keep being faithful in the little everyday moments.
You might not see the fruit right away. But one day you’ll catch a little glimpse of it, and it’ll remind you that none of it was wasted. ❤️
