What an incredible week of tryouts! We want to sincerely thank everyone who came out and supported our organization. The turnout across all of our teams exceeded our expectations, and we’re truly humbled by the trust so many families have placed in us.

For those players who have been selected, your coaches will be reaching out to you soon with the next steps.

For those who were not selected, we will be sending emails on Monday and Tuesday. Please don’t let this discourage your child from continuing to play the game they love. Every player develops at a different pace, and this is only one step in their baseball journey. Keep working, keep improving, and keep believing.

Now it’s time for our 12U Tryouts tonight at 5:30 PM!

This team will be led by two South Carolina baseball legends, Brad Chalk and Forrest Beverly. Together, they bring an incredible amount of playing experience, knowledge, and passion for developing young athletes.

🏆 Both were named South Carolina Gatorade Player of the Year.
🐔 One went on to star for the South Carolina Gamecocks.
🐅 The other played for the Clemson Tigers.

Different paths, but one shared mission—to help these players grow on and off the field.

Our 12U team finished last season with an impressive 23-11 record, and we’re looking to build on that success as we continue raising the standard.

We are proud to introduce Coach Chase Rhodes as the Head Coach of our rising 13U team!

Coach Rhodes brings over a decade of coaching experience and a lifetime dedication to the game. His passion for developing young athletes, teaching the fundamentals the right way, and building disciplined, team-first players makes him a tremendous addition to our organization.

• High School Baseball (Class of 2009)

* Two-time Eastern Regional Runner-Up (2007, 2008)
* Recognized as one of the top performers in hitting, defense, and pitching during the 2009 season
* Versatile player and respected team leader

• American Legion Baseball

* State Runner-Up
* Competed against some of the region’s top talent

• Southeastern Community College (NJCAA Division I)

* Helped lead the program to a Top-3 Regional finish
* 2011 Region 10 Champion
* Qualified for the 2011 NJCAA World Series in Enid, Oklahoma
* Finished among the Top 8 teams in the nation

⚾ Coaching Experience
With more than 10 years of coaching experience, Coach Rhodes has developed players from youth baseball through the high school level.

• Junior American Legion Coach
• Assistant Varsity Coach at Whiteville High School (Five Years – Present)

During his time at Whiteville, the Wolfpack have earned:

Coach Rhodes is committed to helping players grow not only as athletes, but as young men—teaching discipline, confidence, accountability, and the work ethic needed to succeed both on and off the field.

We’re excited to welcome Darren Goida as our 9U Head Coach. Darren is the Head B-Team Coach at Waccamaw and brings tremendous passion, energy, and leadership to our program. At just 28 years old, he’ll be able to grow alongside these young athletes while helping them develop both on and off the field.

This is more than just building a team it’s about building a family, a culture, and a future.
