Are you turning 65 soon? Did you know....

-If you are not collecting Social Security benefits you will need to sign up for Medicare.

-If you are collecting social security benefits you should receive your Medicare card in the mail.

-Your Medicare becomes effective the first day of your birthday month unless your birthday falls on the first day of the month. Then it becomes effective the month before your birthday.
Example- Your birthday is May 21st. Your Medicare becomes effective May 1st. But if your birthday is May 1st then your Medicare becomes effective April 1st.
