“Imagine thinking that WATCHING someone else play a car racing game would give you the skills to be a getaway driver.”

That’s the energy Brett Barker brings in this new post about one of the most common myths in leadership training: the idea that watching a video = being ready for real feedback conversations.

Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

Leadership isn’t a spectator sport. Neither is learning how to give psychologically safe, effective feedback. Scripts don’t stick when stakes are high—and high-stakes conversations always go off script.

In this post, Brett breaks down why practice (yes, actual practice) is the bridge between learning and doing. Not just theory, but safe, supported reps with real feedback scenarios.

If you’ve ever left a training thinking, “That made sense… until I had to actually do it,” this one’s for you.

Great teams don’t avoid hard conversations—they grow through them. This training helps teams listen, learn, and lead with courage.

Image Description: An illustration of a yellow fox character wearing a blue shirt and dark pants, carrying a green briefcase, walking along a dotted black path that winds across the image. The background features the colors of the transgender pride flag (light blue, pink, and white stripes). Along the path, there are colorful signposts labeled "Skills" (blue), "Confidence" (pink), and "Support" (green), pointing in different directions. The path leads to a red circle that says, "Your Future Starts Here!" In the bottom left corner is the Inclusive Agile logo, shaped like a rainbow-colored infinity symbol.

Trans people are under attack—and so are disabled people.
Across the U.S. and around the world, harmful rhetoric and legislation is targeting trans rights, disability access, and gender-affirming care.

These aren’t separate issues—they reflect a larger pattern of marginalization, exclusion, and even dehumanization.

We choose at this moment in history to be visible in our support and to focus our energy and resources to find a way to push back and actually make a difference for the people around us.

We want to do more than just speak up, though. Our ongoing campaign will enable us to coach and PAY trans and autistic interns.

It has never been more important to put your money where your heart is.
We invite you to show up with us!

You can repost, show up, and stay educated (and you should!).
But the real work, **job training, mentorship, mental health support** takes more than vibes. Build the world you say you want
Inclusion isn’t just an idea, it’s an investment.
Free actions matter: listening, amplifying, making space.
But let’s be real, systems run on money.
Companies can’t hire, train, or support without it.
If we don’t fund inclusive orgs, we risk losing them.

This is how we build the world we say we want: with values, voices, and yes, dollars.

Let’s show the world that we are more than the rhetoric..

Even $10 can support someone on the margins finding their way in. Visibility is a start, but opportunity is the goal.

Image Description: Three anthropomorphic foxes stand together in front of large, glowing windows framed by the pink, blue, and white stripes of the trans pride flag. Each fox is passing a heart to the next, forming a chain of care and connection. The soft light surrounding them suggests hope, solidarity, and new possibilities. This image reflects the heart of our campaign—visibly showing up as a community of support, and building real pathways to opportunity for trans and autistic people through funded, intentional action.
