MSU REVEALS VOLLEYBALL SLATE
Murray State volleyball announced its 2026 schedule yesterday. The Racers will be opening the season August 28-29 at the USI Invitational in Evansville before competing in three additional non-conference tournaments hosted by Northern Illinois, Middle Tennessee, and Troy.

The Racers begin Missouri Valley Conference play September 25 at Drake and will host their home opener against Evansville on October 2 at Racer Arena. The regular season concludes November 13-14 at home against Illinois State and Bradley before the six-team MVC Championship.

SEC MEDIA DAYS DAY 2 RECAP
The second day of SEC Football Media Days in Tampa yesterday featured Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. South Carolina coach Shane Beamer expressed confidence in the Gamecocks' progress, while Georgia coach Kirby Smart emphasized maintaining the Bulldogs' championship standard. Auburn coach Alex Golesh highlighted the Tigers' culture and rebuilding efforts, and Vanderbilt coach Clark Lea discussed the Commodores' continued growth within the conference. The four-day event continues today with Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss and Texas A&M taking the stage

SEC MEDIA DAYS RETURNING TO NASHVILLE
The SEC is bringing its football media showcase back to Nashville. Commissioner Greg Sankey announced this week that SEC Football Media Days will return to Music City in 2027, with the event scheduled for July 12th through the 15th. A venue has not been announced yet, but this will mark the second time Nashville has hosted the conference's annual kickoff event. The city previously welcomed SEC Media Days in 2023.

WILDCATS ATTEND SUMMER LEAGUE
Some members of the Kentucky men's basketball team now have a new perspective on what it's like to take the game to the next level. Head coach Mark Pope took a break from summer workouts to take the team to the NBA Summer League exhibition in Las Vegas. The players and some recruits got to see some of the pro league's newest talents show off their skills during a portion of the 11-day event. There were 11 former Wildcats who were representing their NBA teams during the exhibition as well.

BULLDOGS RB INJURED
A Georgia football player is in the hospital after suffering serious injuries in an ATV accident. Head coach Kirby Smart confirmed Dante Dowdell's injury at Tuesday's SEC Media Day and didn't give a timetable for his return. Dowdell was expected to slot-in behind starter Nate Frazier this upcoming season. The senior rushed for more than 550 yards to go with three touchdowns at Kentucky last year.

CARDINALS REPORT
Jo Adell's two-run homer capped a five-run first inning as the Angels held on to beat the Cardinals 5-1 last night in Anaheim. Walbert Urena tossed six innings of one-run ball as he improved to 6-7 while pushing the Angels winning streak to three. JJ Wetherholt drove in the lone run for St. Louis as Matthew Liberatore allowed five runs over 5 1/3 frames as he fell to 5-7. The Cardinals will look to snap a four-game skid in this afternoon's 3:05 game. Airtime is set for 2:10 on WNBS.

PAYCOR STADIUM UPDATE
The Cincinnati Bengals are revealing some major upgrades to Paycor Stadium. The phase one portion of the stadium upgrades are part of a larger 184-million-dollar project. The Bengals say phase one is almost completed, which includes renovated restrooms, upgraded concessions, a redesigned Bengals Pro Shop, and more. The Bengals home opener is set for Sunday, September 13th against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
