Free summer meals for kids are back! ☀️

MCS Feeding Sites begin Monday, June 1, offering free food for all children 18 and under. Please note: school-based locations will be closed June 29–July 3.

This year, we’re excited to partner with our Communications & Family Engagement team to bring even more to our community. MERV (Mobile Educational Resource Van) is joining CHOW (Combatting Hunger on Wheels) and CHEWY (Cultivating Healthy Eating with Youth) and will be out weekly, and all three mobile food vehicles will feature fun, themed activities for kids.

Come eat, learn, and have some fun with us this summer!

I love pretty houses as much as everyone else, but what I really love is watching someone realize they’re about to have a completely different life.

A shorter commute.
Kids with their own rooms.
A fresh start after a hard season.
More peace.
More space.
That’s the part that matters to me.

This marks my 19th year in education, and one thing I know for sure is this: teaching is so much bigger than lessons, grades, and classrooms. Teachers are mentors, encouragers, safe places, role models, problem-solvers, and often the steady voice students remember for the rest of their lives.

I’ve had the privilege of teaching in K-12, higher education, and adult education, and I’ve seen firsthand how one caring educator can completely change the trajectory of someone’s life. The impact teachers make reaches far beyond school walls. ❤️

To every teacher who keeps showing up, pouring out, encouraging students, and making a difference even on the hard days…thank you. You matter more than you know.
