History of Performance Art and Practice

The Class will look at the history of performance art from the 2nd half of the 20th Century through contemporary works in the 21st Century. This will be done through readings, videos of artist's works and discussion.

The students will be engaged in various exercises to prepare them to create and perform their own performance art pieces within the context of what they have learned from past performance works
