🔹 Water Management: Water scarcity and the implementation of stricter rules regarding water usage continues to be a major issue for the Ag community. As a response, more growers are utilizing innovative water-saving techniques and technologies to ensure their crops get the necessary hydration with minimal water waste.💧🌾

🔹 Pest & Disease Control: The warm weather brings an increase in pests and plant diseases. Integrated pest management practices and biological controls are helping to keep these threats in check without relying heavily on chemicals. 🐞🌱

🔹 Summer is a Harvest Season too: Summer is sweet with the harvest of fruit like peaches, plums, and berries. Farmers' markets are brimming with fresh, locally grown produce... reflecting the hard work and dedication of the ag community year 'round.🍑🍓

With the summer heatwaves rolling through California, it's crucial to keep hydration and safety top priority. Here are some tips to stay cool and protected while working outside:

💧 Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day. Try to avoid sugary drinks, which can dehydrate you.

⏰ Take Breaks Often: Schedule regular breaks in shaded or cool areas to rest and cool your body temp down.

🧢 Dress Smart: Wear lightweight, loose-fitting, and light-colored clothing. While they may not be super stylish, don’t forget a wide-brimmed hat, cooling towel, and sunglasses.

🌿 Work Smart: Plan your most strenuous tasks for the cooler parts of the day, like early morning or late evening if possible.
