Say hello to OrchardPilot โ the ONLY solution of its kind for orchards. OrchardPilot launched in October and it's already making a big splash in trials!
๐ Universally compatible retrofit kit
๐ฏ No GPS or connectivity needed
๐ Installs in 1 day
๐ฒ Pays for itself in 1 year
Full tractor autonomy for orchards is coming, but OrchardPilot is ready to boost operational efficiency and safety NOW with automated steering and navigation โ even in GPS-challenged and GPS-denied environments.
โ Reduce driver fatigue and equipment damage
โ Focus on implements while OrchardPilot drives
โ Improve path accuracy with 2-inch precision
โ Cover more acres with less human error
How did we do it? Perceptive Navigationยฎ is the secret sauce. By using edge computing with on-board AI to localize, navigate, and control, we've made vehicle autonomy that senses and interacts intuitively without relying on connectivity.
And don't worry - we're not stopping here. Future releases will include speed control, smart implement control, and full autonomy. Our team is hard at work to deliver more features for orchards other crops types.

๐ฑ๐California Agriculture: Summer 2024๐๐ฑ
As we reach the peak of summer, Californiaโs agriculture is showcasing its resilience and adaptability in the face of ongoing challenges. Hereโs a look at whatโs happening in the fields this season:
๐น Extreme Heat Waves & Adaptation: With temperatures soaring, some growers are adapting by not only implementing advanced irrigation technology to protect their harvests, but they're also moving towards heat-tolerant crops like tomatoes, squash, or melons.
๐น Water Management: Water scarcity and the implementation of stricter rules regarding water usage continues to be a major issue for the Ag community. As a response, more growers are utilizing innovative water-saving techniques and technologies to ensure their crops get the necessary hydration with minimal water waste.๐ง๐พ
๐น Pest & Disease Control: The warm weather brings an increase in pests and plant diseases. Integrated pest management practices and biological controls are helping to keep these threats in check without relying heavily on chemicals. ๐๐ฑ
๐น Summer is a Harvest Season too: Summer is sweet with the harvest of fruit like peaches, plums, and berries. Farmers' markets are brimming with fresh, locally grown produce... reflecting the hard work and dedication of the ag community year 'round.๐๐
๐น Community & Support: It's important for communities to rally around and support their local farmers through various initiatives, like farm-to-table programs and agricultural education. This can foster a stronger connection between consumers and growers, and their local food sources.
Despite the heat and challenges, California's farmers are working tirelessly to bring fresh, nutritious food to our tables. Letโs show our appreciation and support for their incredible efforts this summer!
