Repeat after me- growth lies outside comfort!
Sharing my reason to give up having a safety-net of 9-5 and jumping into building my own AI startup 🫶
I’ve always had a soft spot for the underdog.
Maybe it’s because, as an immigrant in the U.S., I’ve spent so much of my life feeling like I had to prove myself just to earn a seat at the table.
Watching Cape Verde today, and especially Vozinha, reminded me that being the underdog isn’t a disadvantage. It’s a mindset.
Own your underdog story.
One day, it’ll become the story that inspires someone else. ❤️

Being good at AI is no longer the differentiator.
The real differentiator is knowing how to turn that expertise into a business.
Most people spend all their time learning new models, frameworks, and tools.
Very few spend time thinking about offers, distribution, positioning, GTM, and repeatable systems.
That operating layer is where businesses are built.
I’m hosting a free workshop on July 8 where I’ll share the exact framework I use to build with AI, not just build AI.

AI is changing security. But security is also changing AI.
That tension is exactly what I wanted to dig into for my latest Youtube Video.
I sat down with Mayank Upadhyay, Chief Security & Trust Officer at Snowflake, to talk through what it actually takes to build AI systems the enterprise can trust. Not the buzzword version of trust, the real, operational version that CISOs and CTOs are wrestling with right now.
A few threads we pulled on:
→ AI for security vs securing AI (two very different problems people keep conflating)
→ Data governance, permissions, and lineage once agents enter the picture
→ Where human oversight ends and autonomous security begins
→ The security challenges that are genuinely unique to agentic systems
→ Auditability and traceability as the foundation of enterprise trust
→ How the role of the software engineer is shifting in an AI-first world
If you are building AI in production, this is the conversation I wish more teams were having before they ship, not after.
Whether you sit on the engineering side, the security side, or you are the leader trying to adopt AI safely without slowing everyone down, there is something here for you. Full episode is live now. Link in the comments.
I personally enjoyed this conversation a lot and got to learn so much about the intricacies of AI Security

I got tired of rebuilding the same demo pipeline again and again.
Every new AI demo meant reading docs, writing code, debugging, creating a README, making slides, and then turning it into a story.
So I built a custom Mistral Vibe skill that does this for me.
One slash command, a topic, a few clarifying questions, and it gives me working code, a README, and a slide outline in my voice.
This is where AI agents actually feel useful to me:
Not replacing the work, but removing the repeated chaos around the work.

Your AI tool is only as useful as the workflow it can operate inside.
In enterprise AI, the real value does not come from generating a polished answer in isolation. It comes from understanding how work actually moves through the company.
Approvals, access controls, security policies, audit trails, tickets, cases, and business rules all matter.
That is why the next phase of enterprise AI will be less about which model sounds the smartest, and more about which systems can help AI act safely inside real business workflows. And that is where stands out

One of the things I’m most proud of isn’t just the curriculum we’ve built at The Gen Academy.
It’s the community that’s forming around it.
This weekend, we hosted 40 of our students in Mountain View for an in person meetup. Looking around the room, it was amazing to see people from completely different backgrounds. Different industries, different roles, different age groups, all brought together by one thing: curiosity about applying AI in our lives and jobs
I don’t believe we’re the only place that can teach you Agentic AI. There are plenty of great courses out there.
What we try to do differently is create opportunities to actually practice, build, and learn from each other. The hands on experience matters. But the community matters just as much.
We spent the afternoon playing AI Bingo, breaking into small groups to discuss how we’re using AI in our day to day work, and sharing the biggest “aha” moments we’ve each had while adopting AI. Those conversations were easily my favorite part of the event. Everyone had a different perspective, and everyone walked away having learned something new.
I also got to meet many of our current students, along with people who are joining future cohorts. Putting faces to names and hearing everyone’s stories reminded me why we started this in the first place.
We’re definitely making these in person meetups a regular thing and hopefully outside the Bay Area too!
Thank you to everyone who spent their Saturday with us. Looking forward to the next one already and a huge thank you to all our students worldwide!
We really missed you Arvind!!
Shout out to my cores- Aditya, Sumukh, and Tanish, for all your support 🫶
