It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces at our season's concert finale, Nature Calling for Harmony, five weeks ago at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. All of us in Quadre, the board of directors, our incredible staff and countless volunteers are so grateful for your support from near and far as we presented our most exciting, exhilarating and epic concert performance ever.

This new concert presentation, Nature Calling for Harmony, was a natural outgrowth of the work the ensemble has been doing for the last 24 years. It was a program that asked the audience to consider the natural world around us and how we interact with it - the good and the bad. Like many of our programs before, the audience went on a musical journey as we explored this issue together.

This program featured five world premieres that each explored the environment in different ways. Terra Sacrum (Sacred Earth) by Jeffrey Scott, River Runs by Adam Unsworth, Boiling Point by Alexander Roode, Evening Sun by JR Speake and Open. Space. Trust. by Daniel Wood.

In our efforts to create the most immersive experience possible, we partnered with the award-winning artist Harumo Sato and multimedia producer Kristopher Grant. They created stunning animations that visually delighted and enhanced the musical experience.

We were also very excited to work with a group of amazing guest performing artists including pianist Jaymes Kirksey, vocalists Christabel Nunoo, Melissa Angulo, Sidney Ragland and Sidney Chen; and percussionist James Kassis. Shakespearean actor, April Culver, ushered in each work with prose from around the world setting the stage for what we heard.

Again, thank you for bringing this program to life that was over a year in the making. We are so appreciative of your generosity of spirit.
