The U.S. House of Representatives has passed H.R. 8998, mainly which includes provisions that are harmful to the environment and wildlife, particularly by removing federal protections for gray wolves across the lower 48 states. The bill passed narrowly with a 210 to 205 vote, primarily along party lines, despite opposition from over 80 environmental groups.
