Chasing water in Elmore County Billy Wolfe is worried. Or perhaps “worried” is too strong a word for someone as unflappable as Wolfe, but he’s staring down the 2026 summer farming season, and he knows this year is going to be difficult, hot and dry. So very dry.

⚠️ NOTICE REGARDING BURNED DEBRIS

For the safety of landfill operations and the public, the Elmore County Landfill cannot accept burned debris until it has remained unburned for a minimum of two (2) weeks.

Burned materials can retain hidden heat and may reignite, creating a fire hazard during transport and disposal. Please ensure all burned debris has completely cooled and remained unburned for at least two weeks before bringing it to the landfill.

We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we work to keep our community and facilities safe.
