Tinted Roots

As life long members of the community we are deeply saddened by the devastating fire that moved so rapidly through the outskirts of Mountain Home destroying multiple homes yesterday evening. We were grateful to learn that no civilian lives were lost, but many lives were forever changed last night. We would like to thank all of the first responders from countless agencies who rushed into danger to evacuate people and to try and contain the flames during the massive windstorm. It is thanks to you that things did not become much worse and we are beyond grateful that all of your injured are recovering. To the neighbors and community members who offered help getting animals out of harms way and to all of the people and small businesses continuing to donate and to find ways to fundraise for our neighbors, you are what makes this place so special. Times like these make us count our blessings to belong to a community (including the rest of Elmore County) that still embraces our small town way of life and true community togetherness, strength and unity.
