Dr. Guy Berard, M. D., developed the protocol called Auditory Integration Training. Here in the United States it is called Digital Auditory Aerobics. Sound is used to exercise and stimulate the entire auditory area...including some of the smallest bones and muscles in our bodies, which in turn stimulate nerves that reach into the Broca and Wernicke Areas of the brain that are responsible for speech ..... comprehension.....memory....language....and so on. The program also acts to rebalance and retrain the brain. Some response to the training may be seen or experienced almost immediately but further results may take several months as the brain's plasticity allows time to acclimate to the changes.
