Some vehicles earn their reputation. Others survive long enough to become legends.
The 70 Series Land Cruiser falls into the second category.
For decades, these things have been hauling people through deserts, mountains, job sites, farms, and places where breaking down simply isn’t an option. While most trucks have gotten bigger, softer, and packed with technology, the 70 Series stayed true to what made it great in the first place.
That’s what makes this build so cool.
The owner isn’t trying to make it look like an expedition truck. He’s building it to be one. Every modification has a purpose, every part solves a problem, and when it’s finished it’ll be used exactly the way Toyota intended.
Simple. Capable. Honest.
There’s a reason people all over the world swear by these things.
It’s funny how a build can be 99% finished and still not feel done.
The paint is done. The fabrication is done. The assembly is done. But then you add one final detail and suddenly the whole car clicks.
On a factory Porsche, badge placement is easy. Porsche already figured it out. On a one-off build, you’re on your own. Every letter has to be measured, centered, spaced, and checked again because once they’re installed, there’s no moving them.
It’s a small detail, but details are usually what separate a good build from a great one.
And when it’s finally done, you get that moment where you step back, look at the car, and realize the vision you’ve been staring at for months is finally real.
Some repairs are difficult because of severe damage, while others are difficult because the car is literally irreplaceable.
This Porsche-designed, Audi-engineered RS2 came in with relatively minor front-end damage, but finding parts for a car like this in 2026 is a challenge all by itself. What would be a straightforward bumper replacement on a modern car turned into weeks of searching with no luck.
So with the customer’s approval, we took a different approach.
Instead of replacing the bumper, we repaired it. Carefully rebuilding, reshaping, and refining the damaged areas until it looked like the damage had never happened.
Cars like the RS2 aren’t just old cars. They’re an important part of automotive history. And sometimes preserving that history means saving the original parts whenever possible.
