I hate most bags and purses, and talking to a few people, I realized I am not alone in this serious dislike.

My personal aesthetic is pretty simple, and tends towards the functional and comfortable. Sadly, my jeans pockets aren't always enough.

Fussy tassels and dangly bits annoy me. But not as much as a too-short strap that digs into my shoulder. Or when trying to find something in a too-deep bag becomes an archeological dig because there aren't enough well-sized pockets included.

Just like I was frustrated with what I was finding on the market with masks, I realized I could make myself a bag that has the bells and whistles I usually look for.

What are some things you look for in bags and/or purses? Or better yet... what do you hate about bags?

My Etsy shop is currently on vacation until May 1st. I'm re-evaluating my options in terms of which platform and outlets I'll ultimately use, and am taking the time to revamp the shop, reorganize the studio, and work on new offerings.

This revamp and re-evaluation was something I was already considering, but Etsy made a few questionable decisions that impact shop owners like me that pressed the issue.

However, I am still taking orders, making masks, custom toys, kitchen items, and a few orders that are under wraps because they're future gifts.

Yes, I'm still making premium 4 to 5 layer masks. I have 4 "standard" sizes, and love doing custom-made ones, too. I make each mask to order.
Need a filter pocket? Finding it hard to find one that fits your face properly? Gapping, slippage, shifting, too small, too big, or just weird means it doesn't fit right. Need one that fits over a surgical or N95 mask? Just ask!
