This Independence Day, celebrate the freedom to make a difference.

As we gather with family and friends this Fourth of July, we invite you to join Giving Fourth—a new nationwide movement encouraging Americans to celebrate our country's spirit of generosity by giving back to their local communities.

Whether you make a financial gift, volunteer your time, donate food, or simply share ECCO's mission with a friend, every act of kindness helps strengthen our community and ensures our neighbors have access to food, clothing, healthcare, and hope.

Together, we can make this Independence Day about more than fireworks—we can make it about compassion, generosity, and caring for one another.

🎉 This week marks one year since ECCO celebrated the Grand Re-Opening and Ribbon Cutting of our newly renovated campus—and what a year it has been!

Thoughtfully and strategically designed to bring all of ECCO's services and teammates back under one roof, our renovated campus has allowed us to serve our neighbors with even greater compassion, collaboration, respect, and integrity.

As we celebrate this ONE-derful anniversary, we're reflecting on how far we've come and expressing our deepest gratitude to everyone who made it possible. To our staff, volunteers, donors, partners, and community—thank you for your unwavering commitment to ECCO's mission before, during, and after the renovation. Your dedication is evident in every interaction and every life impacted.

Here's to another year of serving our neighbors and continuing to do good—even better—together! 💙

Some of the most meaningful conversations happen over a glass of wine. 🍷 Last month, we gathered for an intimate Planned Giving Wine & Cheese evening — a relaxed night to explore how including ECCO in your estate plans can create a lasting legacy of help and hope for neighbors in need.

We were honored to hear from ECCO Board Member Conor Duggan of J.P. Morgan Private Bank, who led a thoughtful conversation about estate planning. We were also thrilled to have Rosemary LaVista, a passionate local champion of ECCO's FreeWill program and platform, share how easy and accessible it is to get started on your estate plans today. And we were deeply moved when Helen and Dawes Cooke — longtime ECCO champions and the namesakes of the Helen and M. Dawes Jr. Legacy Society — shared their own commitment to leaving a planned gift to ECCO.

Moments like these remind us why this work matters. Stay tuned for more upcoming events to get involved, including something special for Make a Will Month in August! 💙

☀️ Hunger Doesn't Take a Vacation. Neither Do We. ☀️

As summer begins, many children lose access to the school meals they rely on during the year. That's why we're proud to launch ECCO's Hunger Doesn't Vacation campaign—working together to ensure local families have access to nutritious food all summer long.

We're especially grateful to the incredible ladies of the Three Sister Club LGA, made up of members from Rivertowne Country Club, Snee Farm Country Club, and Dunes West Country Club, for helping us kick off this important effort!

Through their generosity and hard work, they collected food donations and assembled 212 kid-friendly meal packs, providing several days' worth of breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and special treats for local children. In total, they donated an amazing 1,422 pounds of food to help neighbors this summer.

From oatmeal and peanut butter & jelly essentials to fruit cups, applesauce, cookies, and other kid-friendly staples, every bag was packed with care and compassion. Thank you, Three Sister Club LGA, for showing what it means to be neighbors helping neighbors. 💙

Together, we can make sure no child goes hungry this summer. 👉 Click the link below to make a difference today and help provide meals for local children and families facing food insecurity this summer.
