Solcara Health
The PCOS explanation you never got👇
First: PCOS does not always mean an individual has polycystic ovaries - but if one DOES have polycystic ovaries, this is what’s happening:
It’s not just “too much testosterone” or an insulin problem. The root issue is often too little estrogen — and a breakdown in how your body selects an egg each cycle which can lead to polycystic ovaries.
Your AMH molecule is supposed to pick a follicle and pass the baton to FSH. FSH takes over, the egg develops, and the cycle moves forward. But in PCOS, that baton never gets passed. So AMH just keeps making follicles — over and over — with nowhere to go.
The result: cysts, irregular periods, weight gain, acne, facial hair, hair loss, and sometimes depression. It’s not in your head, and it’s not your fault.
At Solcara Health, our team is here to help you get real answers and a real plan.

P.S. — PCOS is now being renamed PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) to better capture the full picture of what’s happening hormonally and metabolically.
