Trees NOW Isabella

A little wind didn’t stop tree fans young and old from coming out last Saturday to our “Big Tree Tour” at Island Park. Big thank you to the Chippewa Valley Audubon Club, Mt. Pleasant Discoery Museum, and Citizens Climate Lobby for making this collaboration a great success.

We'll be posting more details of the event in the next few days.

Many thanks to: All the volunteers; the folks at Isabella County Parks for drilling & digging the holes; and Roy Burlington for helping us pick tree locations. Roy has been devoted to the Comission on Aging with his own ongoing and extensive tree planting there.

Lastly, thank you to the Mount Pleasant Area Community Foundation for granting us funds to purchase the trees.

October 23, Saturday

Each planting team (1 to 4 people) will plant one tree.

As with our previous planting, each team should be “already cohabiting,” or otherwise already exposed to one another (with respect to COVID-19).

Please bring a mask for when you need to get near staff or another team.
