We are excited to officially welcome Mrs. Kristen Jimmerson as the new Assistant Principal of Stringfellow Elementary School!

Mrs. Jimmerson joins us after serving the past ten years as Assistant Principal at Willie J. Williams Middle School, where she built a reputation for building strong relationships, supporting teachers, and helping students succeed. Before entering administration, she spent eight years in the classroom, primarily teaching Special Education and English Language Arts.

Mrs. Jimmerson is an experienced leader who holds a Master’s degree in Special Education and a Specialist degree in Educational Leadership. Her experience as both a teacher and administrator has equipped her with a deep understanding of supporting students, developing educators, and building systems that help schools thrive.

Mrs. Jimmerson is also deeply rooted in family and faith. She and her family live on their farm just outside of Doerun, where they are raising their four children — Kate, Jake, John Parker, and Powell. She enjoys spending time outdoors, working in her yard and garden, and fishing with her children. Those who know Mrs. Jimmerson describe her as someone who genuinely values relationships and believes that people are at the heart of every successful school.

While much of Mrs. Jimmerson’s leadership experience has been in the middle grades, she is excited to begin this new chapter in elementary education. She looks forward to learning alongside our staff, students, and families as we continue our mission of ensuring that all students learn and excel at grade level or higher. Her collaborative leadership style and commitment to serving students and educators will strengthen the incredible work already taking place at Stringfellow.

ONE step can make a big difference. Starting middle school is an exciting milestone, and we're here to help our rising 6th graders feel confident and ready for their next chapter. ❤️

Join us on Tuesday, July 28th for a special "First Look" at Willie J. Williams Middle School! Students and families will have the opportunity to explore the campus, walk the halls, meet staff, and become familiar with their new school in a smaller, more personalized setting.

Please attend the session that corresponds with your student's elementary school:

⏰ 10:30 a.m. | Funston, Hamilton, Norman Park & Okapilco
⏰ 1:30 p.m. | Cox, GEAR & Sunset
📍 Please park in the back parking lot by the stadium and enter through the cafeteria.
Together, we'll help capture confidence, inspire excitement, and prepare students for a successful start to middle school.
This event does not replace Open House but provides a smaller group setting for students and families to get familiar with the school.
