Congratulations Mike Lyda from Lyda Excavating for winning our Zumwalt Bull Elk Tag Raffle. We would like to thank everyone who had purchased a ticket for helping make this happen! We also like to thank the Nature Conservancy for donating the tag. The revenue from this raffle went to funding seven range club member's trip to the Society of Rangeland Management Conference in Denver, CO. Along with assisting in future club activities and recruitment. Congratulations and happy hunting.

This is a little late but here is Range club geeking out on our way back from science in the Sagebrush-steppe. U of I Range club team cleaned house. 4 of us placed in the top five for plant id. Then two of our members won the range management competition. Looking forward to next year. Nathan Jero, Dan Lauritzen, Mikie McDonnell, and Matthew Wheeler.

This past week several of our members traveled to the Society for Range Management convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. These members competed in the Undergraduate Rangeland Management Exam and Rangeland Cup, as well as attended talks and tours. Special congratulations go out to our President, Nathan Jero, for taking third place on the URME and to the Idaho High School Youth Forum delegate, Makenzy Whittekiend, for taking first place with her presentation!
