WCE Reading
03/27/2020
If you’re like us, I’m sure you are trying to soak up as much of this beautiful weather as you can between the rain. So, today we did some reading in the “clubhouse”.
Show us the fun places where you are enjoying your books right now in the comments.

You can even practice reading skills when you are outside!
One way we’ve done this is by taking walks. Eleanor hunted for letters on signs, mailboxes, license plates, etc. McKinley spotted objects and thought of a word that rhymes with it (example: she saw a house and then said mouse).
Other things you could do:
💥Think of words that have the same first, middle, or last sound as an object you find on your walk.
💥Segment the names of objects you find on your walk (b-o-x).
💥Have a grownup give you a sound and find as many things as you can that start or end with that sound.
Drop us a picture if you go on a reading skills walk!
Hope you all are enjoying getting outside on these warmer days!
