Military students plan on returning to their base
Military students plan on returning to their base Military students at the college plan on returning to their base after their graduation. Ashley Morera, Criminal Justice, ‘17 and Tanajiah Brown, Psychology, ‘17 plan on returning back to the marines once they finish college. Each individual explained that being in the Marines is not just a duty, it is a way of life for them. “I was attracted by the structure of discipline and the image they portrayed which was strong and loyal,” said Morera. Four students inducted in English Honors society
Four students inducted in English Honors society Jessica Nuñez The Sigma Tau Delta English International Honor Society inducted four new members into their organization on Thursday April 28 in O’Connor Parlor. Sister Florence,’16, Katie Flemmings, ‘16, Amy Hernandez, and Jessica Nunez, ‘17 gave an oath declaring their honesty and dedication to the program. Community assistant hosts mental illness awareness event
Community assistant hosts mental illness awareness event Jonadad Fequiere Founders Hall community assistant Nelly Nkengfack will be hosting an event for Mental Illness Awareness 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on May 5 in Upper Founders Lounge. This event will inform residents and address issues surrounding mental illness. There will be a guest speaker, Rob Nicholson, M.D., a representative from the National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI. Nkengfack would like raise the awareness to the residents about this matter and advocate that mental health is not something you should ignore. [ 37 more words. ]

Battle of the dorms
Battle of the dorms Jonadad Fequiere O’Connor Hall was declared winner of the Battle of the Halls on Monday. Battle of the Halls, a four day competition between Founders and O’Connor Hall, started on Thursday continuing through the weekend. This year’s Battle kicked off with ‘Budgetnista’ an informative event to teach students how to budget their lives during and after college.
