Last week I created a flyer advocating for Washington Township's BoE seat candidate, Doug Cusato. I created it without consulting him and paid for and distributed it myself.

A number of people have questioned the facts I presented on the flyer (see below). Unfortunately, for those who think I lied or made the data up – it came straight from the presentation at the Oct. 20th, 2022 BoE meeting of Westwood Regional School District.

The A-F Grading system is my own addition and an apt one at that. If 40% or more of kids are not passing a subject in a grade, then the District leadership is failing. I simply illustrated it so there was no confusion.

There are more statistics that should outrage parents in the district. I could only fit so much on one page. I will be following up with more.

Additionally, at no point during the presentation or that meeting did any of the presenters, Administration or controlling Board members take responsibility for failing these kids.

At no point did anyone of those people state concrete goals or measures to fix these failures. That shows a failure of leadership.

The source of the failures within the system can be a matter of debate. However, the responsibility of our District's leadership is not up for debate. If you are the leaders, then these scores are a problem you have presided over without finding a path to success.

One last sidenote: A commenter on that page falsely claimed I said the teachers were not doing their job. Just to be clear - this is a failure of leadership and that is what I have politely and courteously told people. Everything else flows from that source of failure.

I have a request for any of you that are willing to help us collect the signs posted around the district.

If you put signs out and cannot collect them for us, then please reply back with their locations (to the best of your ability).

If you see a sign and can stop and pick it up, then please do. If you can send us how many you pick up, then that would be helpful too. We put out about 900 around the district.

If you cannot pick up signs, but know where they are then please let us know.

You can either throw them away or let me know and I can come and pick them up if you have a bunch of them.
