Roadside litter has been a growing problem in our community recently. Typically, crews from the county jail as well as area volunteers assist with gathering litter along the roads. However, due to COVID-19, most of these groups have not been able to do so. As a result, the litter has been piling up. The City is asking for your assistance in helping to make our community more beautiful.

PLEASE do not litter. Properly dispose of your waste and recycling. Collect the litter in front of your house. Bring a trash bag and gather items you see as you go for a walk in your neighborhood.

If you are interested in volunteering to help collect litter, Keep Morristown-Hamblen Beautiful is happy to lend out safety vests, gloves and trash bags and can direct you to a safe area to collect litter. Call to make arrangements to borrow these items by calling (423)231-0354.
