New chicks acclimating well to their new coop. They are establishing their new pecking order.

Wobbles is becoming more bold and stronger. She chilled on the steps with me outside this evening.

This is Wobbles, we ended up with a disabled chick (hen) in our last batch we got. Didn't catch any problem until it was too late, she is adjusting well though and we'll have her own separate area for her to eliminate bullying when we are not here to supervise. We wanted to give her a chance before culling her.

Growth doesn't always happen in silence—sometimes it sounds like a steady hum and a job well done.

We stumbled upon a literal oasis right in our backyard this weekend. Cedar Lakes Woods and Gardens is a must-see if you're passing through Williston. For a very small entry fee, you get some of the best "nature therapy" around. Such a peaceful escape!
