It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of my father, Ozzie.

To so many of you, he was Morris’ favorite. To me, he was so much more. He was my father, my mentor, my inspiration, and the man who taught me the value of hard work, kindness, and treating everyone like family.
Everything Maria’s stands for today is rooted in the lessons he taught me. His love for this community and the people in it shaped not only our restaurant, but the person I am.

We will be holding a private memorial service for immediate family only as we take this time to grieve together. 

If my dad touched your life in any way, I would be honored if you shared your favorite memory of Ozzie in the comments. Reading your stories will bring comfort to our family and help us celebrate the incredible life he lived.

Dad, your legacy will live on in every meal we serve, every guest we welcome, and every life you’ve touched. You will forever be the heart of Maria’s.

Friday Special: Crab Pasta

Sweet, tender lump crab served over perfectly cooked spaghetti, tossed in our house-made roasted red pepper and sun-dried tomato pesto. Finished with fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a light, vibrant pasta that lets the fresh crab shine.

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who show up every day with strength, sacrifice, and unconditional love. The ones who work hard, lead by example, and quietly carry so much for the people they love.

A very special Happy Father’s Day to Ferdi’s dad, Ozzie, whose hard work, dedication, and love helped build not only a family, but the foundation of what Maria’s is today.

To all the dads out there, thank you for all the ways you show up, even when no one sees it. Today we celebrate you. ❤️
