You might not be anywhere near as organized as you like, but if you take babysteps like this to reduce the incoming items, you can accomplish your own goals to be organized a bit more efficiently. Here is an example: If you find a $300 pair of dress shoes on sale for $50, you think you are saving $250. They sit in your closet unworn for 10 years. If the carrying cost of the shoes are $5 per month to heat, cool, insure, work around, organize, clean, declutter, etc; the shoes end up costing you $600. Take the same pair of shoes, if you wear them 3 times a year to go to parties, they only cost you $20 to own.
