As a designer, I've learned that the most beautiful homes aren't always the ones with the biggest budgets or the latest trends. They're the homes that tell a story, feel lived in, and reflect the people who call them home.
Sometimes making a place beautiful is as simple as clearing the clutter, bringing in something you love, or finally finishing that corner you've been ignoring. A beautiful home isn't about perfection. It's about creating a space that feels like you. 🥰

The #1 Thing to Do Before Showing Your House?
Pretend you're seeing it for the first time. Walk through your front door and look at your home through a buyer's eyes. What do you notice first? The beautiful natural light? The spacious living room? The gorgeous flooring?
Or... the pile of mail on the counter, the shoes by the door, and the collection of water bottles on the nightstand?
One of the biggest mistakes sellers make is becoming blind to the everyday items they've stopped noticing.
Before every showing, take 15 minutes to edit, simplify, and clear the visual clutter. The goal isn't perfection—it's creating a space that feels open, inviting, and easy for buyers to imagine as their own.
A little editing helps the features of your home take center stage.

Trends come and go, but there are a handful of styling pieces I reach for again and again because they work in almost every home.
🌿 Greenery and branches
📚 Beautiful books
🏺 Ceramic vessels
🧺 Woven baskets
✨ Trays
None of them are very flashy, but together they add texture, warmth, and that layered feeling that makes a home feel finished.
When a room feels a little flat or like it's missing something, it's often one of these simple elements that brings it to life. What I love most is that they're timeless. They work just as well in a coastal cottage as they do in a modern home. 😊

The homes I’m most drawn to are the ones that feel collected over time. Spaces with personality, meaningful pieces, layered textures, and things that actually reflect the people living there.
Not everything has to match perfectly. Sometimes the charm is in the mix of old and new, polished and imperfect, simple and sentimental.
That’s what makes a home feel warm, lived in, and truly welcoming. ✨
