Join TRIO for a FREE College Field Experience to UC Riverside for the Bournes Next Generation Outreach Day 🎓 on Saturday, April 25, 2026! Explore STEM & engineering through hands-on workshops 🧪🔬, designed to inspire your educational and career goals!

👩‍🎓 Open to 6th–8th grade TRIO scholars (or students interested in joining!)

CSUF & UCI TRIP!!
To end off the college connect program, students got to take a tour of Cal State University of Fullerton and the University of California Irvine. First stop was CSUF where they got the chance to learn about their Cinema and Television Arts Department and talk to professors and students currently in that department.🎭🎬 Then they got to talk to college students studying mechanical engineering, as well as students apart of the Titan Racing Formula team, and learn about the work that goes into building race cars for their competitions. Students also got the chance to build their own miniature races cars with the help of the Titan Formula club members.🏎️💨

After the tour of CSUF, we went on to visit UCI where students got to learn about the study of gases in our atmosphere. The UCI college students taught them how the gases were collected, what these gas levels are they’re being compared to, and the many different technologies that aid in the process. In doing so, the students got to partake in many hands on activities led by the UCI student scientists. 🧑‍🔬⚗️

College Connect Day 13 - Wood Laser Printing🪵🖨️
The iMaker Bus came back to visit the students and in today’s lesson, they were able to design and create wooden name tags using a laser printer!!
