Mrs. Smith - Teaching Edition

✌🏼OUT to the 2019-2020 school year! •Phew!!! That was a doozy! 🥴 They usually warm you that your first year is your hardest...NOPE! This year challenged me in ways I was NOT prepared for...both in the classroom and during distance learning. Thankfully I had an amazing team of support - from my family, 1st grade teammates, my induction coach, admin and friends. It was definitely a group effort! I learned SO MUCH this year and I’m ready to tackle whatever 2020 throws at me for the next school year! •End-of-the-year gifts mailed out to students! Thank you Lessons with Laughter for the cute idea!!! •Character cards also went home. I gave each student a character trait to match them with a note on the back. Usually do these as Character Stones...but they don’t mail well! 🤣

It was so awesome meeting a senior from my alma mater today and gifting her with some goodies! She has missed out on a ton of amazing times that I look back on so fondly from my senior year at Valley View High School Eagles . Now that I’m teaching in the district I grew up in, it only felt right to support the Adopt-A-Senior program (it’s not too late - contact me and I’ll get you connected). Small 🌎 too...her dad and I graduated together!!! Thank you Moreno Valley Unified School District for such an awesome program!
