Every project begins with a purpose. For the Youngstown Veterans Health Administration (VHA) - U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic, it's about better serving those who have served us.

Shook served as construction manager for the recently completed adaptive reuse project, renovating 2,520 square feet to improve access to care through a new infusion center and supporting spaces.

Highlights of the project include:

✅ Infusion Bays
✅ Exam Rooms
✅ Check-In Desk
✅ Nurse Station
✅ Nutrition Area

The result is more than just a renovation. It’s a reimagined space that enhances access to care, supports caregivers, and improves the patient experience.

Thank you to partner Design Collaborative and our trade partners. Projects like this are a reminder that when teamwork and purpose align, the impact goes far beyond the jobsite.

Built on collaboration, rising in Dayton.

The Think Dayton Building at the onMain Innovation District is quickly taking shape just south of downtown Dayton.

The elevator shafts and stairwells are in, and steel framing is now underway, highlighting steady progress on the five-story, 120,000-square-foot building.

The Skanska Shook joint venture is serving as construction manager for the project, which will anchor the first phase of onMain and house the Digital Transformation Center at University of Dayton Research Institute.

Next up for the Think Dayton Building: Placing concrete slabs on decks.

This project is a reflection of collaboration at its best. We’re proud to work alongside Skanska USA, design partner NBBJ, and our dedicated trade partners.

Together, we’re building more than a structure. We’re creating a space designed to foster innovation, connection, and growth in the Dayton community.
